Music and libraries have always gone hand in hand, including the lending of vinyl records, tapes, CDs, sheet music, and now digitally downloaded songs. Libraries have also been a place where musical programs take place, from musical story times to concerts inside and outside the library. The lending of instruments is the next step in this musical tradition.
